For the majority of our patients, getting to and from surgery is not a difficult thing to do. But if you don't have transport and are elderly, or have small children (or sometimes just not able to manage the walk, bus ride or taxi to the surgery), it could be difficult for you to attend an appointment with a Doctor or Nurse.
Whilst we cannot always guarantee we can provide transport, we do have access to a free service which you are able to utilise. This service operates between 9.00am and midday (Monday to Friday) and is shared between the 3 practices in the Holme Valley and has to be on a first come first served basis.
If you have an appointment or need to make an appointment here at the practice or at one of our organised clinics and feel the transport service would help you - please ask the receptionist when booking the appointment and she can check to see if transport is available.
Please have respect for your fellow patients and do not abuse this service, as someone else's need may be greater at that time. Every effort will be made to try and accommodate your request, but there may well be times it is not available.
